Consultation techniques.
We were learning today about consultations and how to get the best out of them.
We did a fun describing activity. We had to sit back to back and try to describe a group of shapes and get the other person to draw it.
Some of us struggled at first....
Imagine if you were describing how you want your hair cut!
But we got there in the end!

Working hard
We had lots of clients to work on this week.
It was just like working in a busy salon. Lisa is preparing us for our level two programme we think...
Consultations are always first!
Next the shampooing.
Men's blow dries
Plaits, twists and temporary colours.
Phew we are ready for anything now!

Having fun learning about open questioning
What great fun we had today.
sometimes it is hard to get the right answers from your client during a consultation. You need to have good open questioning skills.
To test ours we had to pair up, sit back to back, one person had a picture to describe whilst the other person had to draw it. Then we swapped round.
Some results were great!
While some showed how hard it can be.
We understand now how important questioning is.
