Team building, badminton style

We had a great time playing badminton today. 

The ever shrinking circle.

We started the session this morning with a team building activity.

The rule was simple. Everyone must get in the circle of rope.

Easy to start with, we thought.

It's got a little smaller...

Now we are struggling a little bit. But having a good laugh!

Sophie thinks this is a good idea.

It nearly worked.

We couldn't stay in for laughing!

What about putting one foot in said Holly.

Good thinking!

Okay this one needs a bit of thinking about........

Chloe tried her foot for size...nope that's not going to happen.

We did it!

Such a great way to start a session!

Team building!

Another fab team building session today with Alexis.

It was all about communication skills this time. It was hard to start with but eventually we got he hang of it.

We had our first team building session today with Alexis and we did some fencing!

We tried some techniques first.

Then we got our vests on.

Then we got into battle!

All good fun.

Team building works!

The balloons were challenging today!

Teambuilding task.

Making chairs out of balloons.

Two teams and 30 minutes to build a chair that someone can sit on for 30 seconds.

We had two teams who did a bit of head scratching at first but soon got into it.

Unfortunately one team had real challenge on their hands as their 'chair' POPPED with only 10 minutes remaining!

But they make do and here are the results.

Georgina and Paige did the brave job of sitting on them and they did last 30 seconds ( We have no idea how! ) 

We had great fun popping them all after!

What a good ( noisy) morning we had. 

Our final teambuilding! Skiing!

Our team building activiies over the year have brought us all together so we thought we would make the last one out of college. 

We went to Ski Rossendale.

Once the boots were on we practised with one ski on then tried with both.

The instructor was so helpful and Alexis our team building leader helped us too. 

Soon we were off!

Getting good now. Although we did look like birds flapping our arms about for balance.

And of course, there were falls......

And the backwards skiing!

Sometimes its hard getting back up.

And now... For the big slopes!

Getting to grips with the chair lift was a challenge!

And not everyhting went to plan....

We had a wonderful time.and we are a great team!

Badminton? Why not!

Team building today was Badminton, much to Mary's delight!

We all got very competitive but didn't fall out once!

These team building sessions have been so beneficial, we really feel we have grown as a group.

Even though some of us still won't have a group photo!

Wonder what we will be doing next time??? 

Team building Judo style!

Lisa had arranged some more team building activities for us. But we didn't have a clue what she had planned. We weren't sure at all went we found out it was Judo!

We did some warming up excerises first......

Then we got to put the uniforms on! And we got into the spirit a bit more

Soon there was no stopping us! It was fun and better than we thought!

Team building works!

Our last team building session before Christmas. It's been good fun and has really helped our group forms bonds with each other and help to understand each other better.

Here's a few pictures from today.

We look forward to doing more things hopefully in the new year!

All this team building is working.

Who would have thought that doing all this would help us become friends and work so much better together!

Team building fun!

Today we all joined in team building activities....We started off with a balloon challenge. We had to keep a balloon up in the air keeping hold of our hands and not using our feet! 

It was so much fun!!

Next we had to put ourselves inside a rope circle.

Quite easy to start with...

Then it got a bit harder....

Then we got our brains going.....

Really? Lisa can't be serious!

Haha we got it!

Teamwork takes a combined effort

Every class has different personalities, some strong, some loud, some quiet.

When similar personalities are with each other day in day out it can cause friction.

This was getting to be the case with us and today it hopefully came to an end.

Lisa told us she had had enough of our bickering and that we needed to sort ourselves out!

She told us she wanted us to think, while we were working of one thing we like about each person in the group. At first we didn't think we could do it but by the end of the session we all sat down and did it with surprising results. 

We found out things we never expected to and had a great discussion about it all.

We think we are going to get on a lot better in future!

Punk and prom styles

Afternoon on practical induction day was create a punk and a prom style.

One on a team member and one on a block head.
