Streaking!

Using a streaking cap that is,
Today we learnt how to highlight hair using a streaking cap.

Some of us liked it, some of us ( like Paige in the background) found she liked foils better, as you can see.

Chloe's block looked rather shocked when the cap came off

So we had a bit of fun with it

First time foils.

Today we had our first session about foiling.
First of all we had to section the hair correctly.

Then after a demonstration by Lisa, we tried ourselves.

We really enjoyed it and Lisa said we did a great job for our first time.

What do you think?

Taking it up a notch.

Today we took it up a notch. We are nearing the end of our level one and need to think about level two.

Lisa set us a challenge.
To complete a uniform layered cut from start to finish or complete a full head of foils and be timed doing it.

Lisa and Mary said they had never known us be so quiet.

Congratulations to Emily and Becky who completed a full head of foils in .......
ONE HOUR. An excellent effort.

And Leah did and excellent uniformed layered which would easily pass a level two assessment!

Lisa and Mary were extremely proud tutors today.

Foiling fun

I'm Our first lesson on foiling today!
We loved it! We found out why we foil then after a demonstration on sectioning which we soon mastered, ( our maths helped!)
we were shown how to weave, apply and fold the foils.

We remembered our PPE and Lisa draw diagrams on the mirrors to help us. It really helped Leah.

Loni and Mamoona took charge of making a tutorial ( watch out for that blog post)

We were kept very busy

And there was come good concentration faces!

And of course .... Laughter!

For our first time this is what we managed in two hours.

Kara is happy
